fleche droite Call for Papers & Paper Submission

  • Papers duly presented at IFACHMS 2010 will be hosted and freely available on-line on the IFAC-PapersOnLine.net website, and citable via an ISSN and a DOI. The papers presented will be further screened for possible publication in the IFAC journals (Automatica, Control Engineering Practice, Annual Reviews in Control, Journal of Process Control, Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence, and Mechatronics), or in IFAC affiliated journals. All papers presented will be recorded as IFAC Publications.
The National Organizing Committee and the symposium Editor has received agreement from CEP and EAAI for best papers publication.

  • The Young Authors'Support program of the IFAC Foundation is launched for IFACHMS 2010, thanks to a donation of the French IFAC NMO.
Eligible for support are authors of accepted technical papers - French or citizens of a developing country - whose age will be less than 30 years during the Symposium. Only one author per paper can be supported. A developing country is understood to be one which is NOT in the list of high income countries. The support consists of a lump sum to help defray the cost of registration, accommodation and travel expenses related to the symposium. A presentation of the paper at the symposium by the winner is a requisite for support. Applications should be addressed to the symposium secretariat by eligible authors. Please mention the paper number.

Submission procedure

All submissions must be original work. The official language of the symposium is English. Proposals may be of three types: papers (1), poster presentations (2) and sessions (thematic topic sessions or panel sessions)(3).

Paper and poster presentation submission (1), (2):
The author should submit a full draft paper that describes original work (up to 6 pages). At least one author must register early to be included in the program. The submission form can be found at the link below:
http://www.ifac-control.org/events/information-for-ifac-authors

Proposals for session (3):
Sessions organizers are invited to submit a set of 4-6 speakers invited papers with a well-defined cohesive focus on a topic relevant to the symposium. Sessions may start with a tutorial presentation. Session proposals can be extended abstracts of at least 1000-2000 words showing the principal contributions of the submitted papers that will be presented. Please contact the secretariat at sec-ifachms2010@univ-valenciennes.fr for more details.

  • Thematic topic session: The thematic organizer will submit a 1000-2000 words statement describing the session topic, with full draft papers written by the participating authors.

  • Panel session: A panel of 4-6 speakers. The panel organizer should submit an abstract of 1000-2000 words describing the panel topic, how it will be organized, the names of all the speakers. Each speaker will submit, via panel organizer, an abstract of 500-1000 words describing his contribution.

It is assumed that authors submit their papers in good faith, with the intention to attend the Congress. A paper not presented carries damage to the other authors. In addition, this creates a break in the lecture session, which in turn causes an inconvenience to the audience and the organizers.
Therefore, no-show papers will not be included in the Preprints and Proceedings.
